The Grisly Animated Film Conclusion That Stays With Fans

Out of every mature cartoon movies I’ve personally watched, no other has lingered in my mind as much as the terror-laced finale of the graphically gory and highly provocative 2022 movie The Unicorn Wars.

Back in the year 2015, the Spain-based filmmaker created a grim, somber , frequently brutal universe with a few small , desolate hints of optimism.

Although The Unicorn Wars appears as it originated from a desire to expand animation further, the filmmaker explained that it was actually an attempt to convey a global, multicultural theme about “the mutual source of all wars.”

This theme is expressed via a group of brightly hued teddy bears , clearly based on a popular line of cuddly characters.

Maturing in a community focused on aggression as well as the war machine, a lot of the bears are fixated on killing the mythical beasts, because of a religious scripture that tells the bears they were once kings of the woodland, until the unicorns forced them out.

Some did not entirely fallen for the indoctrination, , prefer to sample narcotics or engage sexually outdoors.

Unlike their cuddly counterparts, these colorful critters have visible genitals , clear urges.

For a certain especially vicious, pessimistic creature, the bear named Bluey, the battle with the unicorns becomes a path to power — and specifically to supremacy over his gentler, kinder brother the character Tubby.

The character is a bully , an apparent sociopath , and when horror takes over his squad and takes his teammates individually, he takes more and more power for himself, via progressively bloody, harmful methods.

Simultaneously, the unicorns are experiencing their own horror, as an expanding, deadly beast in their woods.

“In the early stages, it appears as a lighthearted film,” the filmmaker stated. “However it evolves into a more serious and sad film. And by the end, it becomes a horror film.”

Unicorn Wars starts out similar to one of the most playful features by an iconic filmmaker, that discover a naughty glee in permitting cartoon characters swear, engage in violence, or engage sexually.

Then it turns into something more like a more grim work from the same creator, with increasingly visual gore and a palpable relation to the actual horror of battle.

In the finale, it’s a complete extreme drama bloodbath.

The terror that makes this an ideal spooky-season watch begins well before than that description suggests.

Unicorn Wars is ideal for the devoted fans of gore, for lovers of extreme cinema who desire to watch a film they have not watched previously, and are able to withstand a plot that offers no restraint.

Watch it in a dimly lit space with no disturbances, and the finale will dig into your mind and stay with you.
